Sustainability

As a business, Suntory Beverage & Food Kenya (SBFK) has been proactive in giving back to the society in projects related to water and education. We continue to follow the Mizu to Ikiru philosophy to ensure that we live in a better society and leave for the next generation a much better society.

Over the past five years, SBFK has supported the Kangemi Resource Centre (KRC) in various ways. KRC was opened in 2007 by the Charity, Orphelins Sans Frontieres – East Africa and is situated in the Nairobi Kangemi slum to support education and help the local community address the issue of water scarcity. Kangemi is the second largest slum in Kenya.

SBFK has been supporting the Resource Centre in significant ways that have greatly impacted the Resource Centre and the entire community around. For instance, contributing to the water project which serves both the Centre and the Community around. Thanks to our support, 50 informal schools in the slums can now provide free water for the children.
